What $330,000 Buys You in Jacksonville, Florida Right Now

One of the biggest questions buyers have right now is simple:

What can I actually buy in Jacksonville, Florida for around $330,000?

Numbers are one thing. Seeing real homes is something completely different.

The median price of a single-family detached home in Jacksonville is currently hovering around the low-to-mid $300,000 range, so I decided to tour three homes priced very close to that number. The homes featured in this video were listed at $329,900, $334,900, and $335,000.

The goal was not to find perfect homes. The goal was to show what buyers are really seeing in this price range.

The Reality of Buying Around Jacksonville’s Median Price

At this price point, most buyers are going to face some type of trade-off.

You may find a home with a better location but less updating. You may find a larger home that needs cosmetic work. You may find a nicely updated home, but it may not have the yard, garage, or neighborhood you were hoping for.

That is the reality of the market right now.

For many buyers, $330,000 is a serious budget. But in today’s market, the monthly payment, insurance, taxes, interest rate, and condition of the home all matter just as much as the purchase price.

What Buyers Should Pay Attention To

When looking at homes around this price range in Jacksonville, it is important to look beyond the photos.

A few things to consider:

The condition of the roof, HVAC, windows, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Whether the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated or may need work soon.

The neighborhood, commute, school zones, and overall location.

The size of the lot, garage space, storage, and floor plan.

The estimated monthly payment, including insurance and property taxes.

A home may look affordable at first glance, but the full picture matters.

Is $330,000 Still Affordable in Jacksonville?

That depends on the buyer.

For some people relocating from higher-priced markets, Jacksonville may still feel affordable compared to where they are coming from. For local buyers, especially first-time buyers, $330,000 may feel like a stretch.

That is why videos like this are helpful. Instead of just talking about the market, you can actually see what the money buys.

Thinking About Buying in Jacksonville?

If you are considering buying a home in Jacksonville, Florida, the best place to start is by understanding your budget and then seeing what that budget realistically buys in different areas of town.

Jacksonville is a large city, and prices can vary significantly from one neighborhood to another. A $330,000 home on one side of town may look completely different from a $330,000 home somewhere else.

Cindy and I help buyers compare homes, neighborhoods, values, and long-term resale potential so they can make a smart decision — not just an emotional one.

What Do You Think?

After watching the video, which home would you choose — house #1, house #2, or house #3?

And maybe the bigger question:

Does $330,000 still feel affordable in Jacksonville, or does it feel out of reach?
