In the video, I was out kayaking for several hours during alligator mating season, in an area known for having plenty of gators. I saw one. And when I tried to get a little video of it, it slipped under the water and disappeared.

That’s been my experience after a lifetime in Florida. Most alligators want nothing to do with people.
